James

Owner/Principal Certified Interior Designer

James is one of our Lead Designers at Seigo Designs.

James' education in design began in 1985 when he trained as a traditional manual drafter with the intention of pursuing a degree in architecture. After starting his studies in architecture, he had a crisis of conscious. He did not want to design boxes to go all over the landscape. He saw the disposable habits of society and wanted to find a way to have a positive impact on the world and how we interact with it. Creating interiors that incorporate harmony with the environment, longevity to last through many changes in style and need, and the integrity to pull together all of the elements into a finished solution that would touch the emotions of people became his dream.

James' passion for design and finding solutions for people is an ongoing focus in his life.

He stands for a world in which everyone has access to spaces that improves lives, respects the environment, and can be built.

He is married to the Director of Business Management, Gina Woodard.

Laura

Senior Designer

Laura has always been fascinated by structure & architecture since childhood. She was always the kid that wanted to visit museums & historical homes. After high school she worked in the veterinary industry and when the opportunity to return to college came, Interior Design was the undeniable path.

She graduated from Gateway College in 2010 & later returned as an Interior Design Adjunct instructor. She also serves on their Advisory Board Committee.

“Design is more than picking colors. It is creating the feeling that is desired for the space.” Laura loves listening to clients and turning ideas into fruition. She also considers interior design to be an amalgam of form & function, “Beautiful design has to also be highly functional”.

Laura currently resides with her family on the “3rd Coast”, near Lake Michigan in the Milwaukee-Chicago corridor.
